Watercolor is Judith Hand's first love, although she devotes a large portion of her creative time to drawing and has made occasional forays into oils, acrylics, printmaking and collage.

She taught art in public schools in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and New York and now devotes most of her time to painting.   Her work has been exhibited extensively in Central New York in juried and group shows .

This award winning artist is a signature member of the Central New York Watercolor Society and belongs to a number of local art guilds including the Cazenovia Watercolor Society,  The Central New York Art Guild, The Marcellus/Skaneateles Art Guild and the Onondaga Art Guild.

Her subject matter and style are eclectic.  She is  partial to images of reflective surfaces and those incorporating flowers and plants, but also enjoys subjects as diverse as fossil bones and children playing on the beach.   Her style ranges from representational to abstract and geometric.
